CRPF IGP Dr. Archana Shivhare, 1st woman officer in Mao-prone area of Odisha
The IGP reached Dhaka in Kandhamal district via helicopter and discussed with the officers and jawans of the 127 CRPF battalion working for anti-Naxal operations in Dhaka.
Kandhamal: A senior officer has visited the Ground Zero of the Mao prone area of Odisha on Tuesday. CRPF IGP Dr. Archana Shivhare, first woman officer in Maoprone area of Odisha Sector visited the Maoprone area of Kandhamal today and took stock of the situation.
She visited the Daka area in Kandhamal district today. CRPF Operations DIG Ajit Sangban, 127 CRPF Battalion Commander Yatindar Pal Singh and other officers accompanied her to the newly established CRPF 127 battalion.
The IGP reached Dhaka via helicopter and discussed with the officers and jawans of the 127 CRPF battalion working for anti-Naxal operations in Dhaka. She discussed with CRPF battalion officers and jawan, boosted their morale and encouraged them. Later, she participated in a public relations camp organized by CRPF.
On this occasion, students of the local school performed in a cultural programme. Solar lights and sports items were distributed among the local residents at this meeting by CPRPF.
The CRPF IGP appealed the ultras to return to their homes by abstaining from Maoist activities and getting involved in the mainstream of the society.
