CM Naveen Patnaik to visit Bargarh district today

Bargarh: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Bargarh district today to launch the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Card. Reportedly, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various developmental projects.

It has been scheduled that chief minister will leave for Bargarh at 10.15 am and by 11 am he will arrive at Satibhata airstrip under Padmapur tehsil following which he will move towards the event place by 12 pm by his helicopter. All the necessary preparations have been made at Bijepur stadium for chief minister’s arrival. A 18-platoon police force have been deployed in view of the Chief Minister’s visit today.

As many as 3,63,000 beneficiaries of Bargarh will be provided with the BSKY Smart Health Cards during this event. Various developmental projects worth Rs 295 crore will be inaugurated and foundation stones will be laid by CM Naveen Patnaik.

According the schedule of this visit, CM Naveen Patanik will also inaugurate 71 smart schools that have been transformed under 5T initiative. Later, the cards will be distributed to beneficiaries in 12 blocks and panchayats of the district.

The entire program will be held in the presence of limited guests following strict Covid protocols. The RTPCR test has been made mandatory for all the people who will attend the meeting including beneficiaries, media representatives, police and the officials of district administration. All the police personnel will be deployed to ensure all kind security during the distribution ceremony.

Earlier on October 22 CM Patnaik had also visited Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj to distribute the same. Prior to that on October 4 he distributed the health cards in Deogarh in a virtual mode, on September 22 in Titlagarh. He also laid the foundation stone for development of Harishankar Temple at Patnagarh. The smart health card was launched in Malkangiri on August 20 and Sundergarh on September 14.
