CM Naveen Patnaik to visit Sambalpur district today

Sambalpur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Kuchinda in Samblapur district today to launch the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) Smart Health Card. Reportedly, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various developmental projects.

The entire program will be held in the presence of limited guests following strict Covid protocols. The RTPCR test has been made mandatory for all the people who will attend the meeting including beneficiaries, media representatives, police and the officials of district administration. All the police personnel will be deployed to ensure all kind security during the distribution ceremony.

Earlier on October 22 CM Patnaik had also visited Mayurbhanj to distribute the same. Prior to that on October 4 he distributed the health cards in Deogarh in a virtual mode, on September 22 in Titlagarh. He also laid the foundation stone for development of Harishankar Temple at Patnagarh. The smart health card was launched in Malkangiri on August 20 and Sundergarh on September 14.

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced to provide Smart Health Cards to 3.5 crore people in the State under BSKY.

The BSKY smart health card will entitle the beneficiaries’ free treatment at all Government hospitals of the state and more than 200 private hospitals of the state and outside.

Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
