New Delhi: Speculation has risen over a possible change of guard in Odisha Pradesh Congess Committee (PCC) ahead of Bijepur By-poll as some senior party leaders of the state held marathon meetings with AICC President Rahul Gandhi and other central leaders here on Saturday.
Earlier on the day, former PCC Prsident Niranjan Patnaik, Ex-MP Pradeep Majhi, MLAs Naba Das and Chiranjib Biswal called on senior central leaders Kamal Nath and Jitendra Singh at former’s residence- 1 Tughlaq road in the national capital.
Later, the visiting state leaders except Patnaik, rushed to party high command and held a brief discussion on several issues.
Though the party leaders didn’t reveal anything about their meetings, sources close to AICC said that the party will likely announce a new PCC Chief for the state of Odisha today or tomorrow, replacing Prasad Harichandan.
