Businessman shot in broad daylight, locals nab miscreants
A looter was beaten up by people after being caught while fleeing the scene. He shot a business man and looted him in Mayurbhanj.
Mayurbhanj: A businessman has sustained critical injuries after being shot in the stomach and robbed by looters in Balahada police station area of Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Monday. Later, a looter was caught by the locals and was beaten severely by the people.
According to sources, the businessman identified as Guram Kumar Das was shot in the stomach by three robbers near Balahada bypass on the national highway No. 220. The was rushed to the Balahada hospital in a critical condition. Later, he was shifted to the Tata Hospital as his condition worsened.
Though, one looter was caught by the locals, other two miscreants managed to flee from the spot. The police are investigating the case and looking for the looters.
