Bus-Truck collide head on in Mayurbhanj of Odisha, narrow escape for 50 passengers

In narrow save for as many as 50 passengers a bus-truck collided head on in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Monday. 

Mayurbhanj: In narrow save for as many as 50 passengers a bus-truck collided head on in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Monday.

The accident took place in the Mayurbhanj-Bangriposi ghat road, said reliable reports. A passenger bus and an iron-laden truck from Calcutta to Keonjhar met with an accident at Bangiriposhi-Dwarabhuashuni Ghat in Mayurbhanj District.

Reports say that due to brake failure, a truck carrying iron ore overturned on the National Highway after hitting a passenger bus. Seeing such an accident, the local people immediately reached there to help the people and informed the local police.

After receiving the news, Bangiriposhi police and fire brigade reached the spot and rescued the driver from the vehicle and admitted him to the local hospital. He is undergoing treatment there. However, bus driver and passengers are safe.
