BSF jawan Ishwar Chandra Dora’s last rites performed amid tears & state honours

The last rites of Odia Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Ishwar Chandra Dora was performed amid tears and full state honours at his native Belakhandi village under Kasinga block in Kalahandi district today.

Kalahandi: The last rites of Odia Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Ishwar Chandra Dora was performed amid tears and full state honours at his native Belakhandi village under Kasinga block in Kalahandi district today.

It is to be noted here that Dora was found dead near the Lankamura Iron bridge in Agartala of Tripura on November 17 under mysterious circumstances.

However, hundreds of people reached the Belakhandi village to pay their tributes to the jawan after his body was brought today. His father lighted the funeral pyre after the jawan was accorded a guard of honour.

Dora, who was a member of the 42nd battalion of the BSF, had reportedly left the Lankamura Border Outpost (BOP) for duty on the night of November 16. However, his body was spotted near the Lankamura Iron bridge this morning. Under what circumstances he died there is yet to be known.
