Bomikhal Flyover Mishap : Pratap Kishore Panda gets conditional bail

Bhubaneswar: Khurda District and Sessions Court on Monday granted conditional bail to Panda Infra Director Pratap Kishore Panda in connection to Bomikhal flyover mishap in the city which claimed a worker’s life on May 4.

Prasanta Padhi, Panda’s accomplice, has also been granted conditional bail in this regard.

The Sessions Court judge pronounced the bail order to both the accused on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 50,000 each.

The court also directed the duo to present before police station in every 15 days. Besides, the duo shall not influence the material witness, the court ordered.

In September 10, 2017, a section of the under-construction flyover had collapsed leaving 1 person dead and 10 others injured. Panda was then arrested; but he was granted bail in a short duration and his company resumed work of the flyover.
