Bomb hurled at panchayat office in Salepur of Odisha, sarpanch abused

In a shocking incident, there were reports that a bomb was hurled at a panchayat office in Cuttack district of Odisha. 

Salepur: In a shocking incident, there were reports that a bomb was hurled at a panchayat office in Cuttack district of Odisha.

According to available reports the incident took place in Salepur Kishan town police station limits on late Thursday night.

Reportedly miscreants hurled bombs at the Praharajpur panchayat office last night and verbally abused the Sarpanch and his supporters.

Following the incident, the Sarpanch filed a complaint in the police station. The local police of Kishore nagar area has started further investigation in this matter.

It is yet to be ascertained why the bomb was hurled at panchayat office in Salepur. Detailed investigation in this matter is underway. The sarpanch and his followers are being questioned by the police relating to any past enmity with any gang or mafia.

The police is also questioning the locals in order to identify the miscreants who hurled the bomb. The local people have expressed their concern relating to the matter.  Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
