In a shocking incident, the body of a man was found floating in Chilika lake of Odisha on Monday morning, said reliable reports.
Chilika: In a shocking incident, the body of a man was found floating in Chilika lake of Odisha on Monday morning, said reliable reports.
According to reports, a person drowned in Tangi area of Chilika. The deceased has been identified as Basishanda Basudev Naik. He was around 40 years of age.
The deceased according to reliable reports was a resident of Ashwaripatna Village in Chilika Block under Badakul Panchayat of Khurda district in Odisha.
Basudev’s family said that he had gone missing since yesterday, that is Sunday. Basudev’s dead body was recovered by the local people from outside the Panthnivas jetty in the morning on Monday, said reliable reports.
It is worth mentioning that, the pant shirt and sandals of the man were recovered from the jetty. The reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained. Detailed reports awaited. Police investigation underway.
