Boat with Union Minister Parshottam Rupala gets stranded in Chilika Lake
A boat carrying several people including Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala reportedly got stranded in Chilika Lake this evening.
Bhubaneswar: A boat carrying several people including Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala reportedly got stranded in Chilika Lake this evening.
According to reports, the Union Minister along with others was going to Satapada in a boat from Baligaon area to attend in a Sagar Parikrama program which was scheduled to be held at Arakhakuda village in Puri district at around 4 PM.
However, the engine of the Minister’s boat reportedly got stuck in the fish net and stopped functioning. Due to this, the occupants of the boat got stranded there for over two hours. Later, two boats from Satapada went to the spot and reportedly rescued the Minister and others.
