Bhubaneswar: Huge twist in blast at hospital in Bhubaneswar case, deceased confirmed not to the husband of woman who committed suicide. A major mistake has been made in handing over the body. The deceased Dilip Samantaray is known to be alive. Two people have already died in the blast while two are undergoing treatment.

Last Sunday, it was announced by the hospital that Dilip died during treatment. Later, the body was dismembered and handed over to the family members in the presence of Mancheswar police station and family members.

But the dead body handed over to Dilip’s family is found to be that of Jyoti Ranjan Mallik. Meanwhile, after hearing about Dilip’s death, his wife committed suicide.

According to reports, his wife Soumyashree Jena committed suicide on hearing the news of her husbands’ death on January 1. She has committed suicide in her paternal home in Nuagaon village of Jatni, said reports. Reports say that, her body has been sent for postmortem in the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. An Unnatural Death (UD) case had been registered in this regard. They had married just two years back.

“The blast at hospital in Bhubaneswar occured at around 6.15 pm due to short-circuit while gas was being filled in the AC gas unit,” said Jyoti Ranjan Panda, CEO of the hospital.

“Four persons were injured in the incident. They are undergoing treatment at the ICU of the hospital. A total of 25 doctors and 40 nurses were providing them treatment,” he further added that the situation is under control and none of the patients was affected due to the blast.
