BJD To Hold 3-Day Protest In Odisha Against LPG Price Hike

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to protest against the constant hike in cooking gas prices. The party informed that it will hold protests across the state.

The ruling party of Odisha has decided that it will stage protests and demonstrations for the LPG price hikes that have become common now-a-days.

Protesting against the gas price hike, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to stage demonstrations protests all over the state.

The BJD will hold statewide protests from tomorrow for three days, informed the BJD youth president Byomkesh Ray.

The students’ wing, youth wing and women’s wing of the ruling party will participate in the protest against the hike in gas prices.

Biju Yuva Janata Dal, Biju Chhatra Janata Dal and Biju Mahila Janata Dal will demonstrate in all the blocks of Cuttack, Sambalpur and Berhampur RDC Zones on November 22, 23 and 24 respectively.

The protest will continue till the central government reduces the price of cooking gas said BJD in a press meet organized earlier today.

The central government has been claiming that the use of cylinder has increased by 98 percent. But the National Family Health Survey report says the increase is only 20 per cent which is a normal process, added the Chandbali MLA Byomakesh Ray on Sunday
