Athagarh observes 12-hour bandh over district status demand
A 12-hour bandh has been observed in Athagarh of Cuttack district in Odisha on Thursday demanding district status.
Athagarh: A 12-hour Athagarh bandh has been observed on Thursday demanding district status. It is worth mentioning that the area falls under Cuttack district in Odisha.
The locals have called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh. This has affected normal day-to-day activities in the area.
All the business establishments and vehicular movement in the area have been closed down for 12-hour said reports.
For safety of the locals and maintaining peace during the bandh, the DCP of the area has stated that three platoon forces have been deployed.
At the same time, 12-hour bandh is also been observed in Titlagarh of Odisha’s Balangir district today.
