Sambalpur: Assam Chief Minister Himant Biswasharma’s family has visited in Sambalpur. Himant’s mother Mrinalini Devi, elder brother Dakhant Biswasharma and his wife reached Sambalpur and visited the historic Bezbarua House of famous Assamese writer Laxminath Bezbarua at Kacheri Street.
They also went through the various books written by Bezbarua in the house. Seeing this, Himant’s elder brother Dakhanta expressed his happiness and that he had visited this place long time ago. And this time he got an opportunity to come back to Sambalpur to attend a literature ceremony in Bhubaneswar.
Dakhant appreciated the development work of Bezbarua House with the cooperation of both Assam and Odisha Governments. The government of Assam has given a fund of about one crore and the government of Odisha about 50 lakh rupees for the revival of Bezbarua House, said reliable reports.
