‘Art of Giving’ observed in Bhubaneswar with enthusiasm

Bhubaneswar: Several organisations observed the sixth annual commemoration of  ‘Art of Giving’, an initiative based on the philosophy that practices giving as an art, with great enthusiasm at various places here in Odisha on Friday. This year, the theme of Art of Giving is – Bag of Happiness.

Odisha Sachetan Nagarika Forum, a social organisation, celebrated Art of Giving in the presence of KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta, who had initiated the concept in 2013. Dr Samanta gifted pen to the members of the Forum.

Kadambini, Odisha’s leading monthly magazine celebrated Art of Giving near Sani temple premises at Vani Vihar in the city. Editor of the magazine Dr. Iti Samanta  distributed ‘Bag of Happiness’ to people.

Kalinga TV also observed ‘Art of Giving’ at Yognadi Mangala slum in the State capital. Managing Director of Kalinga TV Himanshu Khatua distributed pen and study materials to hundreds of children to mark the occasion.

Likewise, Kalinga TV Editor Soumyajit Pattnaik along with his colleagues distributed ‘Bag of Happiness’ to several residents of Rental colony in the city.

Art of Giving was also observed at Salia slum in the city, where students were provided pen and study materials.

Earlier on the day, founder of Art of Giving- Dr Achyuta Samanta inaugurated the worldwide celebrations at KISS & KIIT campuses here. He said, KISS & KIIT are the best examples of Art of Giving, as these organizations are following this philosophy since last 27 years.

Significantly, the Art of Giving was observed in 120 countries across the world today.
