Armed miscreants barge into house, beat-up man before looting cash & gold ornaments in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Some unidentified miscreants barged into a house by breaking the door at Madhusudanpur village under Basudevpur of Bhadrak district and looted cash and gold ornaments late on night Friday.

As many as eight looters reportedly entered the house of one Umakant Panigrahi at around 2 AM by breaking open the backdoor of the house.

The looters entered the house when Umakant and his wife were in deep sleep. However, Umakant got up after hearing a noise. But the robbers beat him up and threatened to kill him if he raises alarm. Later, they allegedly looted Rs 2.5 lakh and gold ornaments.

The Basudevpur police started an investigation into the matter after Umakant filed a complaint this morning.
