Cuttack: With the death of another dengue patient, the death toll in SCB Medical College and Hospital here rose to six today.
The deceased has been identified as Biranchi Mahana of Nuapatna village under Narsinghpur Block of the district.
Biranchi was admitted to the hospital on September 27 after he was diagnosed with dengue and was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital. However, his health condition deteriorated suddenly this morning leading to his death.
According to sources at SCB, six dengue patients have died while undergoing treatment at the hospital in the last six months.
