Patient dies of Dengue at SCB Medical in Cuttack, toll reaches 5

Cuttack: The Dengu threat loomed large in the Millennium City again this morning following the death of a patient from Jagatsinghpur district.

The deceased has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Nayak of Kunjang area. He was under treatment at the hospital for Dengue infection since September 20 after his vicera test was found positive with the virus of the vector-borne disease.

With the fresh death the total number of lives lost to the fatal disease this season has jumped to become five in the hospital.

Notably, for the last time at least two patients had died at SCB on September 10 which included a woman also.
