Annual bird census begins in Koraput of Odisha

The annual bird counting is taking place at 23 locations across six forest divisions in Odisha's Koraput district. 

Koraput: The annual bird census has begun in the forest range in Odisha’s Koraput. The bird counting is taking place at 23 locations across six forest divisions in Koraput.

The birds are being counted across 23 locations including Baghra, Dangarmaliguda, Ranigarh, Damanjodi, Kolab,, Kechala, Narayanpatna and Dasamantapur.

Multiple teams have been formed to carry out the bird census in Koraput efficiently. Notably, every team comprises of one bird specialist.
