Berhampur: In an important development in the Budu Patra murder case, as many as eight accused have been awarded life imprisonment on Tuesday, said reliable reports.
According to reliable reports, the Additional District and Sessions Court Judge in Berhampur awarded life imprisonment to eight accused for their involvement in the Budu Patra murder case.
It is worth mentioning here that, the murder took place in Ambagada village in Ganjam district in the year 2017. Patra was attacked by a group of miscreants over past rivalry.
Later, the Police had arrested eight accused for their alleged involvement in the murder case. The accused were in jail since September 2017, said reliable reports.
Furthermore it is worth mentioning that, the Court pronounced the sentence after hearing a number of eye witnesses and examining other evidence relating to the case.
