Team of 5 doctors fly to Odisha’s Malkangiri under Mukhyamantri Vayuseva Yojana

Malkangiri: An expert team of doctors is flying to Malkangiri district in Odisha to provide treatment under the Mukhyamantri Vayuseva Yojana.

The super specialist team of doctors will provide treatment to the patients waiting there under Mukhyamantri Vayuseva Yojana.

The team consists of five senior experts from five different clinical departments as per the requirement of the enlisted patients. It is worth mentioning that, the team of doctors will stay in Malkangiri district and serve and treat the patients till 31 August, 2023.

The team of expert doctors consists of: 

Dr A Jena, Nephrologist, Dr BK Das Cardiologist, Dr S Sethi Surgery specialist,  Dr S Rana, Radiologist, and Dr C Pradhan, Anesthesiologist.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the Mukhyamantri Vayu Swasthya Seva (Air Health Services) December 21, 2021. The service was launched for four districts: Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Kalahandi.

Under the initiative, a list of specialist doctors are formed for the treatment of critical patients admitted to various District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs) will be prepared and sent to the Health Department.

It is worth mentioning that, the doctors will be flown to the destined DHHs through aircrafts/ helicopters for prompt treatment of the patients. If required, the patients will be airlifted to various healthcare facilities in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
