Jeypore: As many as five persons have been arrested for reportedly blackmailing two lovebirds after forcefully filming the girl’s obscene video in Odisha.
According to Jeypore Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Arup Abhishek Behera, a girl along with her boyfriend had gone to a lonely place to spend some time together recently. A group of youth appeared on the spot all of a sudden and forcefully made the girl naked. They filmed her naked and blackmailed the lovebirds by threatening them that they would share the video on different social media platforms if they do not give Rs 50,000.
Despite the lovebird’s repeated request to delete the clip and let them go, the miscreants continue to demand money. Finally, the young couple was allowed to move from the spot only after they paid Rs 7,000 to the miscreants and assured to pay the rest of RS 47,000 later.
After returning home, the girl filed a complaint at the local police station following which cops laid a trap and arrested five persons while they had gone to collect the money today.
Police also seized the mobile phone where the girl’s obscene video was captured and recovered the cash from the possession of the arrestees.
