Cuttack: At least four persons sustained critical injuries after a car carrying them skidded of NH-16 and plunged into a nearby farmland at Rajakana Chhak under Tangi police limits here today.
While the identification is yet to be ascertained they are said to be residents of Cuttack.
The mishap took place early in the morning while the victims were en-route to Chandikhol. It is suspected that while taking a turn at Rajakana Chhak the driver of the car lost control over the wheels causing it to overturn into a nearby farmland.
Some locals rescued the victims from the mangled car and rushed them to a nearby hospital immediately.
Police have reached the spot and seized the mangled car with the help of a crane to start investigation.
