3 deer deaths reported in 4 days in Odisha!

The Simlipal sanctuary in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha has now become unsafe for the deer population, said reports.

Herds of deer are frequently coming out of Simlipal sanctuary and subsequently being killed. As many as three deer have died in four days, say sources.

There are regular reports of deer dying due to dog bites or from falling into the well. The carcass of another deer has been recovered today.

Reports said that the deer that came out of the Simlipal sanctuary and was being chased by a pack of dogs and fell into the well in fear. Such a rare incident happened in Goili village under Dudhiani range.

The Forest Department has recovered the dead deer carcass. The dead deer will be sent for postmortem to Karanjia animal hospital.

The question arises as to why the herd of deer is wandering out of the forest repeatedly. Detailed reports awaited.
