3 day conference held at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata

Addressing the gathering director Khatua opined that there should be ‘One country, one film education system.’

Kolkata: A 3 day long National Transforming Film Education Conference has been organized at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata.

Organized at SRFTI auditorium the program was inaugurated by Neerja Shekhar, Additional Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Department of the Central Government.

Chaired by SRFTI director Himanu Sekar Khatua, UGC joint secretary Abhirul Kapoor, CK Muralidharan, Rakesh Ranjan, Sankalp Sesharatna, Amit Sen, Dr. Abhishek Kumar and Michael Joseph graced the conference.

Addressing the gathering director Khatua opined that there should be ‘One country, one film education system.’ He said that if this approach is implemented in the film education institutes, the standard of film will increase.

On this occasion, Professor of Film Department of KIIT, Sushanta Bahinipati, Associate Dean Ganeshwar Mohapatra and Rakesh Kumar Das from the Biju Patnaik Film and Television Institute participated in the key discussion.
