Around 14 students of Ashram school at Badaraisingh in Rayagada district on Saturday walked for 15 km to meet the district collector to air their grievances

Rayagada: Around 14 students of Ashram school at Badaraisingh in Rayagada district on Saturday walked for 15 km to meet the district collector to air their grievances.

The students embarked the 15-km journey to the collector’s office to share their issues they faced everyday at around 3.30 am.

Reports say, the students said that they suffer a lot as the principal of the Residential school abuse them and do not provide them proper food for past some months.

The official agreed that the allegations of the students will be probed and proper action will be taken.

Around 240 students stay in the hostel, of which 100 are boys and 140 girls.
