12-hr Barpali Bandh for inclusion of town in Padampur district

Bargarh: The Advocates Association of Barpali has called for 12-hr bandh protesting inclusion of the town in Padmapur district.

The bandh comes after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced regarding the creation of Padampur district. The advocates are demanding that the towns of Bijepur and Barpali should not be integrated to form the new Padampur district.

All government and private institutions, shops, and vehicles were closed in response to the bandh call today. Many vehicles were stranded on the road.

Various institutions and political parties have expressed their support for Bandh.
