1 dead, 1 critical after truck hits bike in Keonjhar
One person died while another was critically injured after a truck hit the bike they were riding in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
Keonjhar: In a tragic incident, one person died while another was critically injured after a truck hit the bike they were riding in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The incident occurred on National Highway number 49 near Bayapandadhar area under Keonjhar town police limit. The deceased is said to be a resident of Badamba of Cuttack district.
According to sources, the two were on their way to Keonjhar on bike when the truck hit them from behind and rammed them for some distance. Due to the mishap, one man died on the spot while the other was critically injured. The locals immediately informed the police about the incident.
After receiving information about the incident, Keonjhar town police reached the spot, rescued the injured and rushed him to the nearby hospital. The cops also seized the deceased’s body and sent it for autopsy. Following the incident, the police have seized the bike and the truck and initiated a probe into the matter.
