Bhiwani: Four miscreants on two bikes opened fire on a man standing outside his house in Bhiwani of Haryana. During the firing, a woman armed with a broom bravely confronted the attackers, forcing them to flee the scene. The CCTV footage of the incident is presently going viral over the internet.
The target of the attack has been identified as Harikishan, who is currently out on bail in connection with the murder case of Ravi Boxer, with alleged links to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Just three months ago, Bhiwani police had arrested five individuals suspected of plotting an attack on Harikishan.
The incident occurred yesterday morning at around 7:30 am in Dabur Colony in Bhiwani. As captured by a CCTV camera, the attackers fired nine rounds at Harikishan, causing him to sustain multiple bullet injuries.
In the footage, Harikishan is seen standing near his home when two bikes abruptly stop nearby. The pillion riders swiftly disembark and open fire. Despite being hit by bullets, Harikishan manages to stumble inside and close the gates, falling to his knees just outside.
The assailants persistently fire rounds outside the gates in an attempt to gain entry. However, in a surreal turn of events, a woman enters the frame, wielding an inverted coconut broom. Fearlessly, she charges at the armed attackers, surprising them with her audacity.
Startled by the woman’s courageous intervention, the shooters fled from the spot. One of them attempts to fire at the woman but misses. The four men quickly flee the scene on their bikes. It remains unclear whether the woman is a family member of Harikishan or a neighbor. Later in the footage, she is seen entering Harikishan’s home to check on his well-being.
After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter. Further investigation is underway.
