In a recent incident, a tiger was spotted perched on a wall in Atkona village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kalinagar.
Lucknow: In a recent incident, a tiger was spotted resting on a wall in Atkona village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kalinagar. The tiger entered into the village last night from the tiger reserve in Pilibhit, said reliable reports in this regard.
Reportedly, the villagers were alerted by the continuous barking of stray dogs during the late night hours on Monday. The sight of a tiger resting on a wall caused a fear among the people. Soon, hundreds of local people were seen gathered at the spot.
From what the local people informed, the tiger has been resting on the wall since last night. The animal did not move, even after it woke up. The area surrounding the tiger has been barricaded with nets so that nobody moves any closer to the tiger.
The local people allege that the tiger strayed into the village from its habitat due to the negligence of the forest department. Efforts to rescue the animal are currently underway.
