Train accident in West Bengal; 14 trains cancelled, 3 diverted and 2 short terminated

Bankura: Two goods train collided head-on at Onda railway station in Bankura of West Bengal. The wagons derailed after collision. Rail operation on Kharagpur–Bankura–Adra line has been halted.

According to reports, 13 wagons were derailed in the accident. On being informed, rescue team has reached the spot and initiated rescue operation. The accident happened today at 4 am. According to the information, one goods train was hit from behind by another goods train. A pilot of the freight train was injured in the accident.

However, 14 trains cancelled, 3 diverted and 2 short terminated due to the derailment of goods train at Ondagram station of Adra Division on Sunday.
