Three children died while trying to cross the railway truck in Urapakkam railway station in Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpattu.

Tamil Nadu: In a heartbreaking incident, three children died while trying to cross the railway truck in Urapakkam railway station in Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpattu on Tuesday.

The victims have been identified as 15-year-old Suresh, who had a hearing disability, 10-year-old Ravi, who faced speech difficulties, and 11-year-old Manjunath, who was visiting Urapakkam to spend a long weekend with his extended family.

According to officials, the children were playing near the railway tracks and, in a tragic turn of events, decided to cross the tracks just as a suburban train traveling between Beach Station and Chengalpattu approached. The impact of the collision was fatal, and all three children lost their lives at the scene.

Upon receiving the distressing news, local authorities, including the Guduvancheri Police and Railway Police, swiftly arrived at the scene. They worked diligently to recover the bodies of the young victims from the tracks. Simultaneously, the parents of the children were informed about the devastating incident.

The bodies have been transferred to a government hospital, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of their untimely deaths.
