Six cars gutted in fire at showroom in Karnataka

Bengaluru: At least six cars were gutted in a massive fire that broke out at a four-wheeler showroom in Karnataka’s Shivamogga on Friday night.

According to reports, the incident occurred at around 10 pm on Friday. After receiving information about the incident, a team of four fire tenders and officials rushed to the spot and initiated an operation to douse the ablaze.

“We got a fire call around 10 pm. Four fire tenders were sent to the spot, and the fire was doused around 3 am,” district fire officer Mahalingappa informed to ANI.

He further mentioned that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. “Six vehicles were damaged. A preliminary investigation revealed that the incident might have happened due to an electrical short circuit. We are further investigating the matter,” he further added.

In a similar instance, at least ten to fifteen houses were damaged after a massive fire engulfed them in Mumbai on Saturday morning. The incident occurred in Govandi’s Baiganwadi at around 4 am of Saturday.

After receiving information about the incident, fire engine and water tankers were rushed to the spot to douse the ablaze. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier, at least eleven people were killed and many were critically injured after a paint factory caught fire in Dayalpur Market in Alipur in National Capital of Delhi on Thursday.

The injured were immediately rushed to the nearby the hospital. As per the reports, among the four, one is a police personnel, who got wounded during the rescue operation.
