A Punjabi man with four master's degrees and a PHD holder has been forced to sell vegetables to earn his living in the streets of Patiala

Patiala: A Punjabi man with four master’s degrees and a PHD holder has been forced to sell vegetables to earn his living in the streets of Patiala.

Dr Sandeep Singh was a contractual professor at Punjabi University in Patiala for the past 11 years. However, unfortunate circumstances led him to leave the job and he started selling vegetables to earn money for his living.

Sandeep has done his PhD in law and has four Master’s degrees in subjects including Punjabi, journalism and political science. He had do leave his job after irregular pay and salary was not given properly.

“I had to leave the job because I didn’t use to get my salary on time and there was frequent pay cut. It had become difficult for me to make ends meet with that job. That’s why I switched to selling vegetables for the survival of me and my family.” as reported by NDTV.

His vegetable cart has a board saying PHD Sabzi wala where Dr Sandeep goes and sells vegetables and earns money. After his work, he heads back home and studies for his exam.

Dr Sandeep aspires to save money and open tuition centre one day.
