Maharashtra road accident: 4 killed, 1 injured after car gets crushed under truck
In a tragic incident, four people lost their lives while one was reported injured in a road accident in Maharashtra.
Maharashtra: In a tragic incident, four people lost their lives while one was reported injured in a road accident in Maharashtra. The accident took place on Nashik-Pune highway near Ahmednagar on Monday morning. Reportedly, the four deceased include a toddler as well.
Reliable sources report that a car carrying passengers got crushed under a cargo, leading to the fatalities. Reportedly, the speeding cargo truck rammed into a car and overturned on it, crushing the vehicle beneath it.
The deceased in the Maharashtra road accident have been identified as residents from Akole Taluk. They were Aasha sunil Dhankar, Sunil Dhankar, Abhay Suresh Vishal, and a two year old infant. The identity of the injured passenger has also been ascertained.
The police stated that the cargo truck was loaded with iron rods which allegedly fell off the truck after the accident. This further caused a block on the highway for a significant amount of time. Traffic congestion was also witnessed. Further assessment and necessary measures are being taken by the Maharashtra police.
