Jammu and Kashmir: Two LeT terrorists killed in encounter in Shopian
Two LeT terrorists were killed by security forces in an encounter in the Alshipora area of Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir: Two terrorists associated with proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-eTaiba (LeT) were killed by security forces in an encounter in the Alshipora area of Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir.
“Encounter has started at Alshipora area of Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job,” police said.
The firefight started after a joint team of police and security forces got input about the presence of terrorists in that area.
After security forces cordoned off the area, terrorists hiding there started firing drawing retaliation by the security forces.
The terrorist have been identified as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq alias Abrar of terror outfit LeT. Terrorist Abrar was involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit late Sanjay Sharma
There have been a series of encounters between terrorists and security forces across Kashmir in the recent past in which many terrorists have been eliminated.

Ms Kalinga
