French President Emmanuel Macron to be the chief guest at Republic Day parade 2024
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the guest of honour at French national day celebrations in last July.
New Delhi: French President Emmanuel Macron to be the chief guest at Republic Day parade 2024 in India.
“At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of France, will be visiting India as the Chief Guest for the 75th Republic Day celebrations.” Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
Also, the French President posted on his X handle, “Thank you for your invitation, my dear friend @NarendraModi. India, on your Republic Day, I’ll be here to celebrate with you!”
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the guest of honour at French national day celebrations in last July.
Reportedly, this will be the 6th time that a French President will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations.
