The first trial aircraft has successfully landed at the Ayodhya International Airport a week before the inauguration of it by the PM Modi.

Ayodhya: The first trial aircraft has successfully landed at the Ayodhya International Airport a week before the inauguration of it by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the Aerodrome Licence to the airport on December 14.

Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Sanjeev Kumar received the licence from Vikram Dev Dutt, DG, DGCA in New Delhi on December 14.

Ayodhya International Airport features a 2200-meter-long runway, Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGL) infrastructure. Additionally, it has Doppler Very High-Frequency Omni Range (DVOR), and an Instrument Landing System (ILS).

The Airport will be all time operational even during low visibility conditions of more than 550 m. The terminal has been designed with a space for over 600 passengers during peak hours and 10 lakh passengers annually.

As per the official reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ayodhya Airport on December 30.

Revealing about the program, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said to ANI, “PM Modi will also inaugurate the Ayodhya Ayodhya Airport on December 30, 2023, and it will become operational on January 5, 2024.”
