Fire breaks out in Pantry car of Gandhidham-Puri Express train, See details

Nandurbar (Maharashtra): A massive fire broke out in the pantry car of Gandhidham-Puri Express train near Nandurbar station in Maharashtra on Saturday morning.

Fire detected in the pantry car of 12993 Gandhidham-Puri Express at around 10.35 am while it was was entering Nandurbar station, informed Western Railway.

The fire extiguishers were immediately informed about the incident and tried to douse the flame. The pantry car was separated, said Western Railway.

There have been no reports of injuries, all passengers are safe, informed Railway ministry.

The medical team and other paramedical staff were immediately rushed to the site. The train comprises of total 22 coaches and the pantry car was the 13th coach, Western Railway confirmed.

The pantry coach has been detached and the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, informed Western Railway.
