Elderly woman gang raped and killed in Bihar; 4 arrested, 1 still missing
Police have arrested four people in connection with alleged gang rape, mutilation and murder of an elderly woman in Nawada district of Bihar.
Nawada: Police have arrested four people in connection with alleged gang rape, mutilation and murder of an elderly woman in Nawada district of Bihar.
According to reports, the mutilated body of an elderly woman was discovered on December 26. After receiving information about the discovery of the dead body, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.
During investigation, the police nabbed four accused, however, one more accused on run. Search operation to find the missing accused is underway.
As per the reports, the elderly woman and her husband went to Gaya on December 25 to meet their relatives. The couple used an e-rickshaw from Nawada railway station to reach their destination. However, they faced horrifying situation when the auto driver abruptly sped away with the elderly woman on board.
The accused allegedly raped her and later killed her. The police also seized bloodstained clothes and the weapon used for both mutilation and murder.
Further investigation is underway.
