Air India unveils new uniforms for pilots, cabin crew designed by Manish Malhotra

New-Delhi: The largest private carrier Air India unveiled new uniforms for its cabin and crew members on Tuesday. The uniform were designed by Manish Malhotra.

The Air India in their official social media handle X by posted their video, where the crew members are seen wearing the latest uniforms.

“Introducing our new Pilot & Cabin crew uniforms, an ode to Air India’s rich history and a promise of a bright future. These uniforms, envisioned by India’s leading couturier Manish Malhotra, feature three quintessential Indian colours – red, aubergine, and gold, representing the confident, vibrant new India,” the airline wrote on X.

“The new uniforms will be introduced in a phased manner over the next few months, starting with the entry of service of Air India’s first Airbus A350 aircraft”, the company said in a statement.

The cabin crew uniform is a complete ready to wear ombre saree with jharokha patterns and the Vista is being paired with a blouse and blazer.

For the senior cabin crew (Female), they will be seen in aubergine to burgundy sarees combined with aubergine blazers and the junior cabin crew will wear vibrant red to purple sarees combined with red blazers.

On the other hand, the cockpit crew will be seen in a classic black double suit with Vista print.
