A trainee air hostess, identified as Rupal Ogrey, was found dead in her Andheri apartment in suburban Mumbai.

Mumbai: In a heartbreaking incident, a 25-year-old trainee air hostess, Rupal Ogrey, was discovered dead in her Andheri apartment in suburban Mumbai. Originally from Chhattisgarh, Rupal had relocated to Mumbai in April after securing a job with Air India. She resided in the apartment with her sister and her boyfriend, who had returned to his hometown a few days ago.

Ms. Ogrey’s family grew concerned when they were unable to reach her on Sunday. Worried friends visited her apartment, only to find it locked from the inside. They promptly alerted the police.

Upon gaining entry into the apartment, the police found Rupal Ogrey lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals declared her deceased upon arrival.

Authorities swiftly launched an investigation into the case, leading to the arrest of Vikram Atwal, a 40-year-old man who worked as a sweeper in the housing society where Ms. Ogrey lived. Mr. Atwal is currently in police custody and undergoing questioning.

“The main accused, Vikram Atwal, has been arrested, and the security camera footage in the housing society is being carefully examined for potential leads,” stated the police.

In addition to Mr. Atwal’s arrest, the police are also questioning his wife, who was employed as a housekeeper within the housing complex. Further investigation is underway.
