6 killed, 2 injured in road accident in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar

In a tragic case of road accident in Telangana, six people lost their lives while two others were reported critically injured.

Hyderabad: In a tragic case of road accident in Telangana, six people lost their lives while two others were reported critically injured. Reportedly, a van rammed into an auto rickshaw, causing the accident.

Notably, one child was also included in the six deceased people.

The accident took place during the evening hours on Friday in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district, confirmed reliable reports. Reports from reliable sources state that the accident took place on the National Highway 44 near Balanagar area of the district.

Enraged at the incident, the local people set the van on fire. Further, protests by the irate locals led to massive traffic jams on the highway. Officials from the local police station arrived at the spot and took control of the situation.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the injured ones in the Telangana road accident were shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.

The police have initiated a probe into the matter. Further details are awaited.
