2 cops killed after vehicle plunged into gorge in Jammu and kashmir

Jammu: In a tragic incident, a special police officer (SPO) and a policeman were killed, while two others sustained injuries when their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

According to officials, the accident occurred in the vicinity of a dam at Chanderkote.

SPO Swami Raj died in the accident while the injured — including cops Sewa Singh and Parvaiz Ahmed — have been hospitalised, they said.

Parvaiz Ahmed succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital, as confirmed by the officials.
