Punjab: In a tragic incident, a 21 year old Army Lieutenant lost his life while another captain was left injured in a road crash.The road crash took place in Punjab’s Jalandhar district at around 02:30 AM on Saturday, confirmed reliable sources.

Reportedly, both the officers were headed towards the Cantonment office in Jalandhar when their car overturned near Narangpur village in Patara. The main reason behind the accident was the dense fog, as per reports from the police.

The deceased in the Jalandhar road crash has been identified as 21 year old Army Lieutenant Akshit. He was a resident of Haryana. His companion who hailed from Rajasthan was taken to a nearby hospital for immediate medical assistance.
