Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities Satya Pal Malik will hold his maiden meeting with the Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of all Universities in the state tomorrow.
According to sources, Malik is slated to hold the meeting at Raj Bhavan at 11 AM.
The Chancellor, during the meeting, is scheduled to review the steps which have been taken after the meeting with the former Governor S.C Jamir on January 15 this year.
Besides, different issues like appointment of the teaching staff in all the vacant posts, land allotment issues of Rama Devi University, setting-up of Sports Complex and several research centres at different Universities are among many issues which are likely to be discussed during the meeting.
Apart from the VCs of different Universities, Ministers and Secretaries of six different departments of Odisha government including Finance and Higher Education are likely to attend the meeting.
Notably, the Chancellor of Universities holds meeting of the Vice-Chancellors (VCs) every year before the beginning of the new academic session.
