In a week that has seen multiple Bollywood releases, Vicky Kaushal starrer “Sam Bahadur” is maintaining its momentum at the box office, grossing a total of Rs 33.6 crore within the first five days of its release. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, renowned for her work in “Raazi,” the film has faced a slight slowdown during the weekdays but continues to command attention.

As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, the film collected Rs 3.5 crore on Tuesday, matching its Monday earnings. The consistent performance has led to a cumulative box office collection of Rs 33.55 crore. The biopic, depicting the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, opened in theaters alongside Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal,” which is inching closer to the Rs 300 crore mark domestically.

“Sam Bahadur” recorded a Hindi occupancy rate of 21.86 percent on Tuesday, maintaining its stride since its release. The film had a modest opening at Rs 6.25 crore, reaching Rs 10.3 crore by Sunday, showcasing a steady climb.

The latest addition to the film’s promotion is the release of the romantic song “Itni Si Baat” on Tuesday. Featuring Vicky Kaushal and his on-screen wife Sanya Malhotra, the song has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, with lyrics penned by Gulzar. Vicky Kaushal shared the video on his social media, describing Sam and Silloo’s love as “slightly wild and slightly fearless.”

“Sam Bahadur” stars Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and marks Vicky Kaushal’s second collaboration with Meghna Gulzar after the critically acclaimed “Raazi.” The film chronicles the life of Sam Manekshaw, who played a pivotal role in multiple wars, including leading the Indian Army to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
