This version of the Hyundai Alcazar gets discontinued in India, Know details about it

South Korean Automaker Hyundai has officially discontinued a version of its popular SUV Alcazar in India. The entry-level six-seater petrol version of the Alcazar has been discontinued by Hyundai. Speaking specifically about the trims of the SUV, the entry-level Prestige (MT) and Prestige (O) six-seater petrol variants from the line-up of Alcazar are phased out. This means that, the entry level of the Alcazar starts with the Prestidge 7-seater version.

Speaking about the six-seater variant of the Hyundai Alzazar, it is only available in Prestige (diesel), Platinum (petrol and diesel) and Signature (petrol and diesel) trims.

Price

Currently, the 7-seater petrol version’s price starts at Rs 16.30 lakh, while the 6-seater SUV comes with a starting price of Rs 16.45 lakh in manual transmission and Rs 17.93 lakh for Auto Transmission variant.

Besides, the 7-seater diesel version starts at Rs 16.53 lakh for MT and Rs 18.45 lakh for AT, while the 6-seater SUV comes with a starting price of Rs 16.68 lakh in manual transmission and Rs 19.78 lakh for AT variant.

The Alcazar is available in six different colours options such as Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Taiga Brown, Starry Night, Phantom Black and Polar White while the cabin gets the dual-tone Cognac Brown shade.

Engine and Features

The Hyundai Alcazar is offered with four powertrain options – 2.0 l Petrol MPi engine (6AT or 6MT) and 1.5 l Diesel CRDi engine (6AT or 6MT).

While the Petrol engine produces a power of 159PS and torque of 191Nm, the diesel engine is powered by 115PS of power and a peak torque of 191Nm. The SUV gets three drive mode (Eco, City and Sport) amd offers traction modes that include snow, sand and mud.

The Hyundai Alcazar has dimensions of 4500mm x 1790mm x 2760mm (length x width x wheelbase).

The SUV is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind view monitor, Bose premium sound system and 64 colours ambient lighting.

The Hyundai Alcazar competes against the likes of MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.
