Sensex gains 200 points, Nifty above 19,750
The BSE Sensex opened at 66,375.96 was up by 110.40 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 0.24% higher at 19,774.80.
New Delhi: The benchmark equity indices, NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex, opened in green today that is on Friday. The BSE Sensex opened at 66,375.96 was up by 110.40 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 0.24% higher at 19,774.80.
The broader indices were largely green. The Bank Nifty opened at 44,953.70, up by 0.17%. The other sectoral indices also traded in the green.
The Bajaj Finserv, NTPC, Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, Maruti, Tata Steel and State Bank of India were the major gainers in Sensex. While the Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank and JSW Steel were among the laggards.
